Rebellion and Sadistic Torture

Short Anime News:

So for the past few weeks I've been watching loads of anime, I have no idea why but I've been eating it up like god knows what. Yet more importantly most of these have been some good quality shows. For all those who are avid Code Geass fans will have known that the first episode of the second season aired last Sunday. Unfortunatly, for those who don't understand Japanese have yet to have a subbed version, however there are a few new sub groups and old ones who have begun to do so (excitement indeed). the second episode has also aired but I'm afraid people will have to wait for the subbing of that. No I haven't watched it yet myself, so probably a bad way to start when explaining what I did watch, but yeah the fans will understand. So the groups are:

Mnemosyne: One new anime out that has caught my eye, which I have watched, is Mnemosyne. A dark and supernatural series that contains fully nudity, lesbian sex scenes, gore and some of the sadistic torture scenes in anime. So pretty much what every guy wants. But whats it about? Don't be put off if you think its all flash and no substance, the anime does contain a storyline. Though self contained within each episode, they provide a variety of entertainment that usually revolve around a sense of mystery. So to the point. Mnemosyne follows Rin Asōgi, a women of all trades. Though while she may look normal she holds a special power. And indeed its put to full use during her infiltration of high-security buildings. Even the most ordinary of tasks seem to spiral into something bizarre and here we strike on an important element within the series; the extraordinary. The viewer is dragged into a whole new world that permeates our ordinary daily lives. Angels, zombies and other mythical beings seem to live right under our noises, thank god we have a sexy ass bitch to kick ass. While I restrain myself from empersising the sexyness thats in the anime, I recommend you at least watch one episode to get the low down. There seems to be an on going background storyline so the potential is there for a developed storyline. Overall however, its well put together. Fitting music, a good intro and an interesting style of scene angles. One thing the show is lacking is character development, but for a beginning of a series its not unusual for shows to develop this much later. Yet at the moment there is nothing placing you in your seat to watch more.

Gintama: On the opposite scale is Gintama. Having been out for a while for sometime now, you would think a Japanese anime comedy would run out of funny things to present, but oh no. But sadly I'm going to leave this review until next time! (yes I'm that lazy). In later news: Gundam 00 has finished season one, I'll be reviewing the season's plot line and more. If you want to browse for yourself some of the recent anime I recommend, check the list below:

- Persona: Trinity Soul
- Innocent Venus
- Gundam 00
- Gintama
- Welcome to the NHK*

*(Some may find this really weird and to be honest, I have no idea why I like it).

Crap from the Internet:

Naruto Shippuuden: OK, usually I would put random stuff here, but for some reason I feel like continuing with the anime news. Below you can find the links for the latest Naruto, I will be putting these up each week. Interestingly, the special episode last week was split into two and released on separate days. The change in resolution to 856x480 in wide screen format was the reason for this. Furthermore, from now on all formats for Naruto from the dattebayo site will be in mkv format.
